At Matrons Care we offer a wide range of jobs in the care field. Each role we offer carries its own unique responsibilities, but the main outcome is always the support of our clients and their families, regardless of race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.

The main duties and responsibilities of our carers include, providing personal care such as bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, administering medication, monitoring health, maintaining records and reporting changes to wellbeing, meal preparation and other domestic tasks.

Live-in Care job

A live in carer is a care professional who provides personal care and assistance to individuals in their own home. The carer will live with our client full-time, for an agreed set of hours but are always available whenever our Clients need the most support. The general responsibilities include supporting Clients with daily routine such as washing and dressing, preparing meals and accompanying Clients to any appointments or other engagements.

Carer

A carer is someone who provides personal care and support to those who are unable to manage their lives on their own. The role of a carer is to provide services such as personal care, companionship, and support with daily tasks. Working with the same Clients on ongoing basis carers usually form relationships and keep track of any changes that is noticed in their wellbeing. Our Carers provides any necessary care for our clients within the comfort and security of their own home.

Senior Carer

A senior carer should possess skills such as empathy, compassion, patience and good communication skills in order to provide the best care for our clients. These include empathy, compassion, patience and good communication skills. The senior carer role is to

  • Oversee and monitor junior carers
  • Responsible for the shift and the service while on duty
  • Carry out spot checks and shadow junior
  • File reviews in office
  • Updating client files with field data
  • Respond to emergencies and provide guidance and support to junior carers
  • Assist and enable our clients on all aspects of their care

Field Care Supervisor/Senior Carer

Our Field Care Supervisors, works in the field and office. Their role is to ensure the quality of the care carried out are in line with our quality assurance requirement. Our Field Care Supervisors and Senior Carers are integral parts to the standard of care we provide to our clients and work to high standards to ensure risk assessments with clients and reviews captures our clients care needs so that our clients are always receiving the best care according to their care specifics. Our care reviews are design to ensure any changes in care that has not been provided for in their care plan, can be addressed at reviews so that their care needs can be updated to ensure our clients are always receiving the right care. Field Care Supervisors and Senior Carers, carry out unannounced spot checks on Carers in the field, they conduct direct observation to ensure our training are being used competently by our carers while providing care and to ensure continued competencies. Our field Care Supervisors carry out client equipment risk assessments for wear and tear to always ensure safety. We also carry out annual reviews of working conditions of equipment and client’s care services. All our new clients and carers are shadowed by our Field Care Supervisors or Senior Carers to ensure safe care are provided at all times.

Care Coordinator

A care coordinator takes a leadership role when it comes to some managing and monitoring the care of our clients. They work both in the office and out in the field and are responsible for coordinating each clients’ care and ensuring an effective care plan is developed for each client. They work closely with juniors and senior carers in the team to ensure that all carers are in the right place at the right time. They work with Social Services, Doctors Surgery, Community Nursing team, and other health and social care partners to ensure safe service.
